When the
bridal gown of your dreams has been chosen, the search for the perfect
headdress and matching jewellery has only just begun!
The headdress and jewellery that you choose should compliment your
wedding gown and complete your total look, therefore, choosing your
headdress and accessories should not be underestimated!
At Confetti Bridalwear we are proud to boast the exclusive collection
of local design company Princess Conchetta, who offer a free consultation
at the Confetti store on Wednesdays, with Head Designer, Liza Brissenden
Hemstock.
Liza, who has worked closely with Sarah and the team at Confetti
for the past 6 years, enjoys meeting with Brides to help select
a headdress and matching jewellery that is complementary to both
Bride and budget.
At Aylesbury based designers Princess Conchetta, a large range of
tiaras, headdresses and matching jewellery are all handcrafted using
Swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls and semi-precious stones.
Head designer Liza also has a background in silversmithing, therefore
most designs are also available in sterling silver and 9ct gold.
Bespoke commissions are also available.
For help in choosing your headdress, Liza has listed a couple of
points to consider:
• When choosing your headdress some thought should be given
to the style and detail on your wedding dress and also if a veil
is to be worn.
• As a general rule, a simple delicate headdress will compliment
a gown with lots of detail and embellishment, whereas, a simple,
elegant gown will look stunning with a taller headdress and lots
of sparkle!
• If possible, discuss with your hairstylist the suitability
of the headdress as tiaras are always best worn backed onto a height
of hair, and some tiaras may suit hair styled in an ‘up-do’
better than worn long.
For the 2010/11 season, Liza predicts an emphasis of freshwater
pearls and this is reflected in Princess Conchetta’s Spring
collection named ‘petal pearls’, inspired by nature
with influences from the current vintage look. Starbursts of crystals
and pearls worn on the side of the head have also been very popular
this season, achieving a contemporary, fun look with smaller versions
looking fabulous in a rainbow colours for bridesmaids.

Studio workshop in Aylesbury, by appointment.
As a Bride, it’s your day to shine and whether it be a glorious
‘Jordon’ style crown for that Wow! factor, or a more
suitable design for that glint of glamour, a headdress is a must
to complete your Big Day look.
